Conference Speaking

Providing an experience that drives insights, learning, and action for the future of project and change management

Most conference sessions on AI in project management demonstrate tools and the efficiency gains from them. I argue about something else: what these systems are actually good for and why most organizations use them for the smallest possible thing.

“Without any doubt, Marcus’ session was top quality!”
Kaloyan P. Petrov, DSK Bank, Bulgaria

My talks and presentations come from the same position. Automating status reports and meeting notes saves time and changes nothing. The value sits in seeing what a project is doing before it becomes obvious, and whether you get there depends far less on the tool than on the data underneath it and the judgment of the people reading the output.

That argument lands with audiences who have already bought the tools and are quietly unsure what they got.

Topics I speak on

Why we gave AI the paperwork. What project teams are actually doing with AI, why efficiency is the smallest available prize, and what changes when you point these systems at decisions instead of documents.

The data behind the forecast. Every AI output about your project rests on data somebody chose. What that means for the risk scores and delivery forecasts landing on your desk, and how to tell a robust number from a confident one.

Calibrated trust. How project and change leaders can judge what an AI output is worth for the decision in front of them, without becoming data scientists.

How Artificial Intelligence will improve Human-Led Capabilities. Highlighting the key (non-technical) success factors for a journey to data-driven project delivery practices, incl. which skills project managers need to acquire to take full advantage of data and AI capabilities in their projects..

Formats

Keynotes, conference sessions, and closed-door workshops for PMOs and leadership teams. Sessions run in English or German. I tailor the material to the audience’s own delivery context.
