Achieving Sustainability through Project Resilience

Sustainability in project management gained significant importance over the years, with the goal for projects to contribute to the sustainability of the organization and the society, and to ensure that the ability of future generations is not compromised in terms of economic, social, and environmental aspects. For projects to ensure long-term sustainability, it is however crucial that projects become resilient constructs, and build up the ability to recover from disruptive events that have the potential to derail projects, while actively applying an outside view to understand the broader picture.
